Trans Continental Records Expands Creative Partnership with Cheiron Studios 2 Orlando, FL — We are excited to announce the continued expansion of our working relationship with Cheiron Studios 2, music production successor to the iconic Cheiron Studios, the Swedish music powerhouse whose creative legacy helped shape some of the biggest pop records in history through the work of Denniz PoP, Max Martin, and their world-class collaborators.
As Trans Continental Records enters a new generation of artist development and global music releases, we’re proud to be working alongside a team that shares our passion for unforgettable melodies, world-class songwriting, artist development, and great pop music.
Together with our global distribution partner, Cheiron Music Group, we’re actively developing new music that blends the timeless energy of late-‘90s and early-2000s pop with a fresh, modern sound designed for today’s generation of fans.
There’s a tremendous amount happening behind the scenes right now, and we’re looking forward to sharing more in the months ahead as we push into Summer 2026. While we can’t reveal everything just yet, we can say this:
The future of pop at Trans Continental Records is already taking shape, and we will soon be making a "rather large" announcement regarding something that is very special to everyone here at the label.
Stay tuned.....
An Open Letter to Orlando and to Everyone Who Loves Pop Music
From: Christopher “Rocket” Pasquin - CEO & Chief Music Officer, Trans Continental Records Date: September 5, 2025
I want to speak directly from the heart, because this moment—as Trans Continental Records (or "Trans Con" as many of us refer to it as) re-commences full business operations after soft launching earlier this year—means more to me than I can put into an interview or press release.
Like many from my generation, I grew up heavily inspired by the pop music and artists that came out of Orlando, Florida in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Just like millions of other people during that era were, I too was shaped by the energy, creativity, and pure joy that those songs brought into the world. That music made me believe in Pop as an unstoppable force that could truly inspire millions of people on an individual level, as well as bring them together over a shared bond.
However, there is a shadow over that history, especially here in Orlando, and it is one I could never, and will never ignore.
The awful and inexcusable actions of Lou Pearlman (the Founder and original CEO of Trans Con) hurt this city. They hurt recording artists, producers, families, investors, businesses, creditors, and many more, sadly. They betrayed trust, and they left scars that are still felt today. Many of the people who created that amazing music, some of whom are currently working with us in varying capacities, were themselves victims of those reprehensible actions done by Lou. It is important to say this clearly: the current ownership of Trans Continental Records has nothing to do with those terrible wrongs, and we never will.
I chose to revive this iconic, yet infamous record label for one reason: because I believe the music deserves better. The people who worked so hard during that time deserve better. Orlando deserves better. The actual label itself (separate from Lou), with its incredible pop music legacy, deserves better.
As we officially move forward with daily business operations and brand-new music releases for the first time in almost two full decades, Trans Continental Records will now be built on transparency, fairness, and respect. We are here to create incredible pop music, yes—but also to rebuild trust in this city as a pop music hub, or simply THE pop music hub, as it once was, especially during its golden peak from 1997 to 2001. Every decision that we make will honor the lessons of the past.
I see myself not as an owner of this iconic brand, but as a steward. My responsibility is to make sure that the creativity, hard work, and dreams that once made this city shine can thrive again—without the darkness that once overshadowed them. I'm very thankful for, as well as very excited about the fact that Trans Con as a whole is now being managed day-to-day by my incredible CMG (Cheiron Music Group) colleagues, knowing full well just how professional and talented they are, and also how they always do everything on the up-and-up with honesty, integrity, and passion, a lot of which was greatly missing at Trans Con in the past under Lou's direction and ownership of the label.
On a creative level, I'm beyond thrilled to be able to help pair Trans Con recording artists with the phenomenal music production team over at Cheiron Studios 2 (here in Orlando), which continues to carry on the legacy of Cheiron Studios (which was located in Stockholm, Sweden and closed in 2000) by churning out some great new pop music that is synonymous with the same signature production sound (including a few modernized variants of it) made so famous by Denniz Pop, Max Martin, and the rest of the crew working at Cheiron Studios during the late '90s. There is no doubt that Trans Con and Cheiron Studios are indelibly linked in pop music lore, so to be able to have Trans Con artists record new music written and produced by the team at Cheiron Studios 2, both now and in the future, is simply the icing on the cake, creatively-speaking.
Finally, to the fans, to the artists, to the various professional personnel, to Orlando itself: this is our chance to write a better chapter together. Also, to the former artists, and to the former label personnel, each of whom helped make Trans Con what it was during its heyday (which is hard to believe was over a quarter century ago, now), I would kindly and respectfully ask for your patience, and also for your support. We have heard from some of you directly over the past few months (both hopeful supporters and cynical skeptics alike), and all of your unique individual experiences with Trans Con throughout the past, both good and bad, are defining markers in our storied, yet checkered history, and ones which we carefully note with the ultimate respect and shall use as a guide to help ensure that everything here at Trans Con is always done the right way moving forward.
With much respect and sincerity, Christopher “Rocket” Pasquin CEO & Chief Music Officer Trans Continental Records
